The retreat will begin with dinner on March 21 and end with practice + breakfast on March 27.
The deposit is $808. Generally, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Read our cancellation policy.
Because of the unique travel uncertainties, if you have to cancel due to covid-19 (including local or international travel restrictions, testing challenges, or symptoms, deposits will be refunded).
If you are seeking an opportunity to unwind, chill and explore Bali, then the retreat will be a great fit. There will be 1-2 practices per day and loads of free time, for exploring, optional excursions, and just relaxing.
If you are are looking for a teacher training and a deep immersion in practice, the Bali Earth & Sky Immersion may be just what you are seeking. The immersion is intensive, with daily morning practice, followed by training material until dinner time (with generous breaks for breakfast and lunch). The training will include dharma/philosophy sessions, anatomy + ayurveda, asana lab + assisting practice, and more). The immersive nature of the training tends to cultivate pretty deep bonds, as you are together for so many hours. The immersion includes group excursions that everyone does together, plus all the training time.
Bali’s airport is in Denpasar. It is just over an hour from Soulshine. The airport is expected to re-open to international travel in late 2020 or early 2021.
This will depend on your city of departure. We highly highly recommend booking directly with the airlines, and choosing an airline that is offering refunds or flexible changes.
The length of the flight will depend on your departure city, of course. From the US, it takes about one day of travel. Most flights go through either Taipei or Singapore. Plan your flights so your flight lands no later than 3:15 pm on Sunday, March 21. You can depart on Saturday, March 27—flights that depart after 3 pm are ideal. We do highly recommend extending your stay on either side of the retreat.
Soulshine coordinates transportation to and from the airport, and this is included in the retreat fees.
Typically, you can get a Visa on Arrival (VOA) at the airport in Denpasar, as long as you plan to stay fewer than 30 days. Be sure your passport is current and does not expire within six months of your planned departure. This may be different in 2021, depending upon entry requirements due to efforts to test and track coronavirus. We will provide guidance on the process if it an advance visa is required.
Currency exchange services are very easy to find in Bali. In addition, ATMs are widespread, and most credit and debit cards work in Bali. Check with your bank because many cards offer currency exchange withdrawals without a fee.
Lodging and two meals per day are included, beginning with a welcome dinner on March 21 and ending with breakfast on March 27. Airport transfers are also included. Retreat center amenities, such as the infinity pool, 24-hour coffee and tea service, and filtered water are provided, plus 1-2 yoga practices each day (some days will have an afternoon practice and some afternoons will be free for rest, exploration, and excursions).
Airfare to and from your home to Bali is not included, nor are tips for the retreat center staff (around $10USD or equivalent/day), incidentals (snacks, laundry service), spa treatments and excursions.
