Join me for a weekend full of bhakti (devotion).
Bring alive and learn the ancient mantras, purāṇas (myths), and deities all while chanting from the heart.
Bhakti—the yoga of the heart, of devotion—can allow all of our humanness into the equation as we navigate the complexity of a human life. Chanting allows us to include all parts of ourselves into the process of devotion. Devotion can be considered what you give your full and complete attention to. Therefore this training is about where we give our attention.
Through the lens of hridaya (spiritual heart) we get a glimpse behind the illusion of separation and melt into the community of living beings, all longing for connection, joy and love.
We will explore
- Mantra and meaning
- Stories of the deities
- Devotion meaning/practice
- Sound and voice
- Basic harmonium
