Iceland Retreat

August 20 - 29, 2017

Join Janet for this unique retreat to explore Iceland’s spectacular landscape. For the first five days, Reykjavik will be our home base. We’ll practice in the city, with excursions to nearby wellness centers, geothermal areas, and national parks.

Then, we’ll relocate to Vík, a charming village on the far southern tip of the Island. That will be our launchpad for glacier hikes and lagoon boat excursions.

Anticipated Itinerary

Unless otherwise noted, mornings will begin with practice. Exceptions are the days when we will practice among the natural beauty of Iceland. 

August 20: Arrival + Welcome Dinner

August 21: optional walk to Nauthtlsvk beach and explore Reykjavik

August 22: Blue Lagoon & Seltun Geothermal excursion with yoga at Blue Lagoon

August 23: Golden Circle Excursion with a stop at Laugurvatn Spa and yoga practice at Pingvellir Nat’l Park

August 24: Hverageroi Excursion

August 25: Relocate to Vik (the southernmost village in Iceland), En route, we’ll stop at several waterfalls

August 26: Outdoor practice at Reynisfjara and Soljheimajokull Glacier Excursion (Glacier hike)

August 27: Jokulsarlson Iceberg Lagoon Excursion with boat ride

August 28: Relocate to Reykjavik, En route we’ll stop at Fjadrarglyfur Canyon

August 29: morning practice followed by breakfast and departures
