In this course, we'll look at power through a new lens. We'll approach power by first exploring ways of being that keep us from fully stepping into our power. Then, we’ll dive into four expressions of power and our vision for the world we want to cultivate.

Over 4 weeks, we'll dig deep to unearth our power, revealing the power that already lives within us. At the same time, we'll explore our visions for our lives and for the collective, as we consider where we want to use our power to live more authentically and fully.

We'll explore

  • our relationship to power
  • how boundaries can support us in living into our vision and intention
  • the relationship between creativity and fear
  • the difference between shadow vs. trauma
  • how to cultivate both individual and collective power

Curriculum

Throughout the course, we'll return to our visions for our lives through guided meditation, provocative questions, and thoughtful discussions.

Each week, a new module will be released. You can watch the on demand videos on your own schedule during the week, and we'll have opportunities to come together for discussion, connection, and questions.

  • Introductory week • Welcome and preparation
  • Module 1: Self-sabotage • habits and relationships that limit our vision and alignment with our deepest intention
  • Module 2: Fear • 8 types of fear and how we can work make fear our ally to keep us safe and know when we are in new territory
  • Module 3: Shadow • the distinction between trauma, shadow and shadow work
  • Module 4: Power • 4 types of power and how to have power together

Each week will include: 

  • A dharma talk with Justin
  • Meditation with Justin
  • Mantra with Janet and Justin
  • Movement practice with Janet

The meditation, mantra and movement are designed to be visited daily or several times during the week.

Enrollment

This course can be taken for 25 continuing education hours through Yoga Alliance or as an elective for Janet's teacher training programs.
